Congratulations to Derri Peson (Class of 2008) and his parents. Derri was honored by St. Rita of Cascia High School as "Mustang of the Month" for his involvement at St. Rita and continued involvement in The Beloved Community's after-school programs. Not only is Derri committed to academic excellence but he is also a part of St. Rita's football and track teams.

| Every fall, The Beloved Community begins a new year of academic and social preparation for middle and high school students in the Auburn Gresham, Englewood and West Englewood communities. Stefan McAfee is a returning student and one of our most focused Bethune-Carver Scholars. With the help of The Beloved Community, Stefan has been exposed to a number of high-schools. He was successfully admitted into Urban Prep Charter Academy for Young Men where he will be starting this Fall. Congratulations Stefan!!!
